Views on the Operating Speeds of Filling Machines

Many Customers want to know the operating speed of our filling machines. The answer is more complex than a mere technical specification. Operating levels are in fact a result of a combination of data regarding the machine, the product and the operator.

Let's take for instance a type of product: sometimes it foams, sometimes it is stringy like honey, in some cases the spout on the container is too small, and so on.

The expertise of the operator are also important, especially in the cleaning phase and when changing products.

Dumekfilling machines are basically designed to operate at 500 pcs/h for more difficult products and at 1.000 pcs/h for more simple products such as creams or gels. It is possible to increase these margins – improving the product/operator ratio – as the cycles per hour without products can reach 2.000.

This obviously also applies to the electric positive displacement dispensers (220 volt and 50/60 Hz.) specifically designed for research laboratories and small production quantities. These can reach a speed of 600 pc./h with doses of from 2 to 250 cc.

Special features in the designs also contribute to the efficiency levels of the process. The cleaning phases are made easier by the fact that the parts in contact with the product are all easy to remove and reassemble. This greatly reduces the time dedicated to sanitizing before and after filling.

It is also easier for the operator to change products – for instance changing from liquids to creams – as this operation consists in simply replacing the suction piper with the hopper; these are both fitted with T.C. Sanifit connections.
